What is ESP32 Marauder - Double Barrel 5G?

If you're familiar with our ESP32 Marauder - Double Barrel, think of this as its 5G cousin.

Currently We have two version of Double Barrel 5G, one feature BW16 / RTL8720DN chipset, while another one feature ESP32-C5 chipset. Both version are equally capable on 5G WiFi. More details in spec please check the comparasion graph in the photo

Specifications of The Double Barrel 5G

The Marauder comes with:

• ESP32 chipset with an external antenna,
• A 2.8-inch touch screen,
• An 800mAh embedded battery,
• Onboard GPS access
• Micro SD card slot, for updating firmware and data storage
• Embedded refresher via USB-C (Top / Position A)
• This part of the device can function as a standalone device (i.e., you can use it without Flipper Zero).
• The hardware version of this marauder is V6

BW16 version of the Double Barrel 5G

• BW16 / RTL8720DN chipset with an external antenna
• Dual-Band 5Ghz + 2.4Ghz scanning, de-authentication, on multiple networks simultaneously, recommending on maximum 2 networks at the same time for optimal performance.
• Embedded Refresher for firmware update/reviving, via USB-C (Position B)
• 5G FAP need to copy into Flipper SD card before usage, more details please refer to our manual.
• Notes: The 5G functionality works but is limited by the APP. More details please check the manual in Github
• This part of the Double Barrel is connected and controlled by Flipper Zero

ESP32 version of the Double Barrel 5G

• ESP32-C5 chipset with an external antenna
• Pre-loaded with Marauder firmware
• ESP32 fresher function has been embedded. Updating firmware can be used via USB-C port directly (Port B)

other:

• Marauder and second part of the 5G unit (either BW16 or ESP32-C5) can function simultaneously.
• USB-C Port (Position A, top): Used for onboard battery charging and also for reviving a bricked Marauder with the screen.
• CC1101 Chipset(433 MHz), supporting up to 10 dB output per antenna.
• GPS Chipset. GPS data is accessible to Marauder or Flipper.
• Four Antennas: 2 x 3 dB for Wi-Fi (Dual Marauder), 1 x 1 dB for GPS, and 1 x 3 dB for SubGhz 433 MHz.
• Full 3D-Printed Enclosure/Case is also included.
• Starting from Batch 3, no separate ESP32 refresher will be included in the package, as it is now embedded directly within the unit.

• The toggle switch on the left (present in Batch 1 & 2) has been removed. Starting from Batch 3, the GPS power supply is now switched automatically.
